I found my passion for dance early on, shortly after breaking a chair while attempting to perform Janet Jackson's "Pleasure Principle" music video.
From there, I sought opportunities to move + create in a variety of forms...
Leading my cheerleading squad in high school, where I choreographed award winning pieces. Joining Blank Canvas Dance Company in college, where I crafted numbers that showcased both experienced dancers and Hip Hop first-timers. Running dance troupes after college, where I honed my skills at delivering high-quality performances with limited instruction + rehearsal time. Training as a dance fitness instructor, where I brought the joy + physical benefits of movement to a new audience. Serving on the board of VAE Raleigh, where I help bring diverse art expressions to my community. And teaching kid + teen hip hop classes with local studios, where I help my students learn the fundamentals of the style - rhythm, presence, precision - not just moves.

I'm inspired to use dance, movement, + art to change the world.
I hope you'll join me.
